This petite but rustic weaving is full of texture and organic tones, inspired by the wilderness and textures of nature. In classic Wallflower style, it is very tactile with lustrous sheep's locks, art yarns and hand wrapped rope and plant fibres.
As with all Wallflower weavings, original, handmade yarns make up a majority of the woven work. These materials are processed in our cottage yard by hand, using freshly shorn fleece or ethically sourced silks, cottons and threads. These materials are washed, plant or acid dyed and sorted through a time and labour intensive process. The artistry of fellow spinners and dyers has also been used to compliment this lovely palette. Fairtrade, Ethically sourced sari silk chiffon and frayed cotton fabric make up the delicate fringe, with pops of gold and botanically dyed threads building up the main body. Soft cotton rope and curly sheep's locks add dimension, and beautiful pure wools, hand spun and plant dyed give that edge of high quality to the piece.
This piece has been photographed in different scenes and lighting to best demonstrate the colours, size and materials. Please note these tones may vary from monitor to monitor. This is a one of a kind creation, so act fast - there is only one in existence! No synthetic fibres have been used in this piece. From a smoke and pet free home.
